Bas Veriwjlen (Netherlands)

We first met this fiery epee fencer from the Netherlands when he took 3rd place at the 2005 World Championships, upsetting past Olympic Champ Marcel Fischer (Switzerland) in the final seconds of his top-8 bout.

Pavel Kolobkov

Pavel Kolobkov is 36 years old... much too old to win against his twenty-something opponents. Not.

We interview Kolobkov right after his 2005 World Championship win: "Today was a good present for me!"
